Nothing says “I’m trying to adult” more than a used luxury sedan driven by a mid 20 year old male.

Apparently being an adult also means buying a boring automatic sedan too, being an adult sounds no fun.
![]() 11/03/2018 at 12:09 |

If adulting means driving something with 4 doors and an automatic I don’t want to adult.

Part of adulting is realizing what you like and getting that instead of what other people think you should so you’re doing it right.

The only used WRX cars I would buy cost as much as a new one, so I’ll probably buy new.

So this is what Oppo is now, huh?

The secret is that you buy the boring, ordinary looking sedans... that aren’t . That’s why I’ve had so many Regals. They blend in perfectly, nobody thinks twice, clearly I am a responsible adult and there is no reason to look twice.
And clearly it was not the Buick that did a burnout with 400ft/lbs of torque on tap. Buick drivers would never do that.

I was 17 when I got my Lexus GS, I guess I started the whole adulting thing early

You don’t seem to understand that phrase. You yourself talked down the manual in your TSX.
![]() 11/03/2018 at 15:32 |

I don’t seem to understand someone with a rebadged Matrix saying post-2000 Hondas are meh?
(If you also recall, it was driving one of these TLXs that inspired me to trade the TSX in on the TL)

Now you’re getting back to the 40's look. Those are solid dad shoes. ;)
![]() 11/03/2018 at 16:38 |

Still on your list:
Sign up for a gym membership and go twice.
Trade the used entry-luxury autotragic sedan for a minivan.
Begin drinking expensive craft beer, because you’re never going to pay off your student loans anyway.
Start saving for a Miata. Realize you need a house with a bigger garage for the Miata. Cut craft beer out of your budget.
Now all you need are some Dad Jokes and you are adulting like a pro!
![]() 11/03/2018 at 18:26 |

Did the craft beer thing in my late 20s, however no student loans, no kids (now or ever, still need to get that vasectomy) and no desire for Miata means I still have room in my budget for it.
